Welcome!

Hello. I'm Ashira, Ashira Saide Cartel. You may know me from my other websites - Ashira's Notebook and Ashira's Store - but this is a totally different place [obviously].

I get bored with my life and have many plans. I try to keep people updated as best as I can, but that's kinda hard. I like ranting, I'll admit that, and sometimes talking about my website just doesn't happen. I don't like a diary because it either just gets really personal and I don't know what to do with it, or more likely than not I wanna share it with too many people and it's not that personal anymore.

As a solution, I first thought I'd try working on an Autobiography...sorta...but there was a lot in it that I just didn't like and didn't want to mention. There was also the fact that most of the book wasn't something I was up to selling, and overall it was just too much work that I wasn't willing to do. So I eventually ended up just quitting it...but I still thought, "What should I do...?" I didn't want to use my time making a whole 'nother website all for the purpose of randomly ranting, so after watching a video on YouTube from user MasakoX, I figured "Eh...alright, I'll give it a go" and here I am...on blogger. I'm also on tumblr if you're more into the short, random crap that's on my mind. I used to put this stuff under my main blog posts as Random Song of the Moment, Random Artwork of the Moment, etc.

I do wanna note a few things to any random visitors, however... first of all, this place is quite different than Ashira's Notebook. I don't censor myself quite so much [therefore I curse/swear, I talk about touchy subjects, etc.]. Secondly, I tend to talk about completely unrelated things from artwork. The things I discuss here usually are just general updates geared towards friends and family interested in what I'm doing with my life, as well as fans looking for a more personal side of the artist behind the artwork.

If you're hoping to get an inside scoop on my current projects, I will occasionally put things about them, but usually I'll write about random crap. In that case, I suggest you look at the News section on Ashira's Notebook more often and maybe checking out the Forums. If you're looking for examples of my written work, again I share some things on here, but the majority of my work is on my Writer's Cafe.

All that in mind, I hope enjoy your stay at Ashira's Home.

Truth! Store! Yu Yu Hakusho Abridged! ...wait whut?

Just wanted to say a couple of things, but before I say anything else:

Anyway, besides the all important Emmah DaVinci's birthday, I wanted to say some things I've been doing that you may or may not be interested in as well as some updates. I'll start with the updates so that those who don't care about me personally as much can skip along and live on with their lives...

First of all, if you haven't seen on my website, I have a few updates for ya'll about Truth and my poem book, and even a couple about Ashira's Store.

Let's cut to the chase here and focus on the store for a moment: I've been working REALLY REALLY hard on it, to the point where I'm about to splode...then I realized I'm working too hard and expecting too much of myself [as usual >.>] so I decided that I'll be taking a much, much more relaxed path with it. I don't believe I'll be considering it done at the time, but that's ok because it's not like I have billions of fans looking at this post on their screen and going "HOLY FSM [flying spagetti monster] JUST FINISH THE FRIGGIN' SITE!!! I WANNA BUY FROM YOU!!!" so it's cool with me. I'll be sure to post an update when the store is up and running, hopefully some time this week [no promises], and then actually get some stuff sold. Sorry that I'm lazy and that it won't have as crazy wide of a selection as I originally intended, but yeah it should be fine.

Next is about Truth. Well if you're a subscriber to me on YT, you may have noticed that I've updated my Truth Trailer video. It now states some important information about NaNoWriMo and how I'm going to be actually writing the book when November rolls around. I know I've been going really back and forth on the subject, but I'm absolutely sure this time that I'm going to be finishing Truth as my first ever real story book. Seriously, I'm pouring all of my efforts into finishing and publishing it as well as putting it up for sale by December. If you're interested in learnig more, check out the Truth: A Trojan Story on Ashira's Notebook, my page on the NaNoWriMo website, and the Truth Trailer on my YT channel. If you don't know what NaNoWriMo is, read my brief explaination on the Truth page or just check out the What is NaNoWriMo? page on the official NaNoWriMo website.

Lastly, the Poem Book. I don't believe I'll be able to get it done by September. For those who don't know what this means, here's a simple explaination: I've been working on this book of poetry that I was going to donate some of the funds from to my mom. Why? Well first off, she's going to Kenya in September to help out best she can and on top of that is saving to go to Haiti the moment the oppotunity arises. I was hoping to help her out, as well as start getting some money in with this book...but I doubt I'll be able to finish it in time for the money to get to my mom for Kenya in September, but I will for sure be putting 50% of the money to a good cause, most likely my mom's Haiti savings. If you'd like to help me out and maybe get this book done faster, you can donate a poem or two under a false/writer's name. I'm looking to get at least 25 poems donated for this book that aren't by me. Interested? Here's the info:

If you're interested in contributing, just e-mail me at ashiracartel@yahoo.com with a copy of the poem[s] that you would like in the book as well as a pseudo-name that you'd like to go by and any other information you'd like me to put in the book. Unless you give me a pseudo-name, I'll just be calling you "anonymous". There will be no about the authors poriton of the book, so no need to send me a paragraph explaining yourself. Also, I can't pay you anything because I really need the money I'm saving for my future [such as college] and my mom really needs the money she's saving for herself in order to get to Haiti. Please try to get your poems in soon, and though there's no real deadline as of yet, please get them in ASAP if you're interested to assure that they'll be put in the book.

In the e-mail, please provide the following information:
Your Name/A false name
You may provide your name or a false/writer's name you'd prefer to go by, but no other information will be visible about you personally. If you don't provide on in the e-mail or ask for this otherwise, I will just call you "anonymous"
Your poem[s]
You can send me up to 5, though I may only choose a couple I like to actually go into the book. If you don't get all your poems in the book, I'm sorry, there just might not have been room. If you'd like to number your poems 1-5 [or whatever number you have], 1 being your personal favorite and the top one you want to see in the book and 5 being the "I want this poem in your book, but it really doesn't matter if I don't see it in there. I just sent it in case you needed the extra poem" poem.

Just if you wanted to thank anyone with your poem/dedicate the poem to somebody. Not required, but just if you'd like
Any links you'd like
This is the last thing I'll need, and totally optional. If you'd like me to provide a link to your personal website, blog, internet store, etc. then feel free to.
